12/15/08 Mark Steyn: Jews Get Killed, but Muslims Feel Vulnerable

ocregister.com

Shortly after the London Tube bombings in 2005, a reader of Tim Blair, The Sydney Daily Telegraph's columnist wag, sent him a note-perfect parody of a typical newspaper headline:
"British Muslims Fear Repercussions Over Tomorrow's Train Bombing."

Indeed. And so it goes. This time round – Mumbai – it was the Associated Press that filed a story about how Muslims "found themselves on the defensive once again about bloodshed linked to their religion".

12/10/08 The Next Mumbai

WashingtonPost.com

Like the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in America, the Mumbai terrorist assault last week began with a hijacking. Islamic militants seized a private fishing boat at sea rather than commercial jetliners, according to U.S. counterterrorism officials. But the attackers displayed the same deadly ability to coordinate a complex operation against multiple targets as did their predecessors on Sept. 11.

12/3/08 A Criminal Charity

In one of the biggest wins yet in the battle against terror-financing, federal prosecutors convinced a Texas jury to convict the nation's largest Muslim charity and five of its former organizers of illegally funneling more than $12 million to the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

Jurors read guilty verdicts on all 108 felony charges in the conspiracy — a clean sweep for the Justice Department, which streamlined its case against the Dallas-based Holy Land Foundation after a mistrial last year. It also got a new judge, who allowed previously banned evidence.

12/2/08 Clarion Fund Condemns Terrorist Attacks in Mumbai

MarketWatch.com

NEW YORK, Dec 01, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Clarion Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the American people about national security issues, condemned the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India that have claimed the lives of more than 180 people and wounded another 295.

Lashkar-e-Taiba, an Islamic militant organization with links to Al Qaeda, appears to be responsible for the attacks. Raphael Shore, the founder of Clarion Fund and the producer of the award-winning documentary, Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West, issued the following statement:

11/30/08 Terrorism That's Personal

NYTimes.com

Terrorism in this part of the world usually means bombs exploding or hotels burning, as the latest horrific scenes from Mumbai attest. Yet alongside the brutal public terrorism that fills the television screens, there is an equally cruel form of terrorism that gets almost no attention and thrives as a result: flinging acid on a woman’s face to leave her hideously deformed.

11/29/08 Another Victory for the 'Stealth Jihad'

FrontPageMagazine.com

In what one observer decried as “a very Orwellian moment,” the fight against radical Islam suffered a setback in the halls of the United Nations last Monday. Islamic countries won UN backing for an anti-blasphemy measure called “Combating Defamation of Religions,” which passed 85-50 with 42 abstentions in a meeting of the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee on November 23.

The measure calls on all countries to ensure their legal systems provide protection against “acts of hatred, discrimination, intimidation and coercion resulting from defamation of religions.”

11/28/08 Malaysia clerics issue yoga fatwa

bbcnews.co.uk

Millions of people in Malaysia have been banned from doing yoga because of fears it could corrupt Muslims.

The Islamic authorities have issued a ruling, known as a fatwa, instructing the country's Muslims to avoid yoga because of its Hindu roots.

To most people yoga is simply a sport - a stress-busting start to the day.

Malaysia's National Fatwa Council said it goes further than that and that elements of the Indian religion are inherent in yoga.

11/28/08 The Holy Land Verdict: A Setback for Stealth Jihad

FrontPageMag.com

A federal jury in Dallas on Monday dealt the Stealth Jihad initiative in the United States a crushing defeat: it found five former officials of an Islamic charity, the Holy Land Foundation (HLF), guilty of funneling at least $12 million of the charity’s funds to the jihad terror group Hamas.
